There's the two I still have up. A few were taken down because a few eh hem... bama fans (seriously, not a smack talk deal) reported the music I used and YouTube forced me to remove, or swap the music.... I just took them down.
I liked your vid B'ham. I think as you learn, I'd throw a few pointers at ya...
1. Start cropping the screen to eliminate score banners, tv logos and items like that. (Mine don't at some points, but that's become I learned and got better with some vids)
2. I like your idea of "old" and "new". I'd begin with the old and acknowledge the bad times... it'll make the progression and improvement seem more significant in the video.
3. Personalize it with some word graphics here and there that guides someone not familiar with anything bama has done. In other words, someone from Wyoming should be able to see your video and with a little guidance understand the passion you have, or the reasoning why the recruits you showed were special, or why they are significant..
4. The music was good.
5. Try to limit effects like "strobe" or others like that to short bursts, it wrecks the flow after a while. I think if you mix it up a little (different speeds), you'll be happy with what you see.
6. Stretch and move clips to match up to highs and lows with the music... Taking the time to do that can never be underestimated and is something people notice and appreciate when they watch.
Good first effort, and even though the subject matter makes me want to go shit in your driveway... I'll help where I can. I can recommend a few good programs... and yes, I give a LOT of credit for what I've learned to A96 as well. We have shared many ideas, clips and information to help each other make our videos.
