Seriously, in my buzzed mind, this reminds me of how my wife shops.  God bless that woman, she never gives full price for anything, but she will buy it just b/c it is on sale.  It is kinda the same thing.  Kudos for saving $100 million but when you are spending $408 billion on the budget, what the fuck is saving $100 million when you are spending that much?

I'd say this would be a good start but we're going to have to get into the billions before I'd refer to anything that FedGov in this regard as a big savings.

Outstanding.  I will admit that I was disappointed that GWB didn't wield the veto stamp more often and control some of the spending over the past 8 years and the rate of growth of the government.  What I find ironic is that all the left and the leftist media bitched and moaned at every corner about how wasteful the Bush administration (not that I disagree, he was).  Now the Democrats Socialist have their man in power and not one damn word out of any of them about wasteful spending and "The Obama" is going to spend more, spend faster and grow the government at unprecedented levels. 

During the campaign they run "More of the same" against McCain, but now we get 10 times the spending trimmed with socialist toppings.
