Today's scrimmage......
« on: April 11, 2009, 01:09:33 PM »
Ontario had nearly 100 yards on 2 rushes....

Eltoro is flying all over the place, gettin' everyone on the Defensive side Crunk.

Before the scrimmage, Rap music was thumpin' from the speakers to excite the recruits that were there.

**Recruits at scrimmage included (4 Star DE) Anthony Williams, (5 Star/#1 RB in the Country) Lache Seastrunk, (4 Star/#2 WR in the Country) Trovon Reed, (4 Star RB) Corey Grant, WR Marc Gooch, LB Jawara White, CB Jonathan Mincy, (4 Star WR) Antonio Goodwin and (4 Star WR) Markeith Ambles.**

Mike McNeil was taken off in an Ambulance, wearing an Air Cast, possible broken leg or ankle.

Neiko Thorpe had a 50-60 yard Int. returned for a TD.

Antonio Coleman put a Lot of pressure on the QBs and had 2 Sacks.

Cameron Henderson had an Int., eventhough he's playing with a high ankle sprain.

Hawthorne had a long catch and was receiving praise from Coach Troop.

The Defense won the scrimmage 61-34

How did the QB's play?

Did the "slow" down the offense again?

I wasn't at the scrimmage but, from what I've heard, they threw the ball more in this scrimmage, than the last one.  Kodi is having trouble fumbling the snaps, some of that was due to the fact that AC was coming off the edge like a Crazy Person on Crack and Eltoro was running around like a Wild Banshee.  Caudle threw the Pick 6 to Thorpe, because the pass was a timing pattern pass and when Caudle threw it, Harry Adams Zigged instead of Zagging, so the ball was were the WR should've been.

That'll come together with more timing practices and constant repetition.  Other than the fumbles and the Int.  The offense looked pretty good, from what I've heard.  BTW, Ontario wasn't at 100% and he broke off 2 runs of 50yds+....Justin Albert didn't look that bad either.  Tate got hit in the head about midway, but supposedly he was having a good scrimmage, until that.

Thinking that Kodi just doesn't have the head, or the nuts to play the position at this level.

I hate it for McNeil...we're already thin there.  I hope for him and the team it's not a bad break.

I wasn't there so I can't answer.  I'll leave it to others who weren't there to tell you exactly what, if anything, was said.   :taunt:

I wasn't at the scrimmage either, but did see vids of post practice interviews.  From all accounts it was a passing scrimmage.  They're cutting the QB race down to 2 for the #1 spot.  Didn't say who the 2 would be, but I think it's probably obvious it's Caudle and Burns.  The defense beat up on the offense pretty good according to Caudle.

Yes there was a disagreement between AC and Coach Rock.  But when rumors were going around that AC Stormed off the field, they weren't true, he walked off the field....gingerly, on his way to the trainer's room because he tweaked his Hammy.

http://blog.al.com/auburnbeat/2009/04/coleman_explains_thursday_prac.html

Also, kaos, what the fuck does it matter if I was there or not, If I'm just passing along the information of the people that were there?  I guess the Football board should just shut down until the season starts then.  That's it guys, that's a rap....Kaos doesn't want to see any posts unless the poster was actually there.

Maybe if Kaos could afford a Rival subscription he could have read the scrimmage info for himself.

Maybe if Kaos was stupid enough to pay for something he could read 11 seconds after it was posted on the "pay" site he could have.

And maybe if Kaos was dragging pay shit back 11 seconds after he read it, he wouldn't try to come off like an insider who had "special" knowledge or claim he "heard" stuff when he only read a message board.

This is from Rivals:

Coleman said there was nothing to the rumors of him walking off the field in anger during Thursday's practice.

"Basicallly I was hurt and couldn't do some of the drills," Coleman said. "I went in to get treatment to get ready. It wasn't a big deal. Some people blew it out of proportion."

Again, nobody that's posted a rumor, or other info has claimed to have written it, or come up with any of it themselves.  Keep drooling on yourself in anger as if they did though... It makes a WHOLE lot of sense.

Keep deluding yourself that I am angry.

And if you read the original post there is no disclaimer only comments about this player Flying around like a Wild Banshee  and that one having center exchangr issues etc. Clearly presented as first-hand knowledge.

So you can take your tongue out of Prowlers ass and let him fend for himself.

I'm not drooling on anyone but I will say that it seems pretty fucking ridiculous for someone to jump on prowler for the post he made. Get the fuck over yourself. I trust prowler enough from what I know of him to post stuff he is fairly sure of. I take everything with a grain of salt until I see it confirmed myself.

If people feel they have some info to share, I want to hear it. It is amusing that someone gets upset over people posting things like this on an internet site. Go hang out on the AP sports site or something. Everything there is fully verified, I'm sure.

Not upset. Damn you are some sensitive nancys. Just made a comment.  It's my philosophy to only act like I've been there if I have. I don't post first hand accounts of second hand info and I get a chuckle out of those who are self important enough to do so.

I've seen enough of prowlers shit to mock whatever comes off his keyboard.
