Great news for a program I feared would slip into the abyss.
I never swam competitively Guapo so to say that I do not understand the details of what it takes to be competitive/dominating in the sport would be an understatement. With that being said how bout schooling me since you have some experience?
It's pretty simple; swim fast!
Nah, it takes getting up at like 5am to swim, go to class or whatever, maybe workout a bit, swim, then go to bed. Mind numbingly repetitive... Usually your warm up swim would be around 1600 to 2100 meters. Boring.
I was never overly dominant, but UA asked me to try out. I'm only 6 feet tall and most want someone around 6'4. Though that's not much taller than me, I didn't have enough speed to make up for it. Naturally I didn't try out.
The 50 and 100 meter freestyle was my best, and out of around usually 200 people in state meets during high school, I was often between 18-23. Not shabby, but I would never have made an SEC squad.
And no, I never shaved my body hair.
