I have the same problem with Tiger that I have with Tim Tebow. He is a great golfer, if he keeps it up a few more years, the greatest ever. Still, the amount of hyperbole by the announcers is hard to take. I can't stand it when Tiger hits an indifferent iron shot 20 feet from the pin, and the announcers just gush over how it's the greatest shot ever hit.
I also can't stand it when Tiger is 10 shots out of the lead, playing mediocre, with no chance to win, and they keep showing him and talking about him instead of the guys on the leaderboard. Everyone talks about the effect he has on tournaments, but a big part of it is because for the most part, they don't cover anyone else.
Finally, the other thing I don't like is when I bring up this opinion I am branded a racist, or the same opinion about Tebow gets me labled anti-christian. OK Rant over, I'll put the soapbox away.
