W on trial
« on: March 10, 2009, 12:51:20 PM »
OK.  This is reposted with the permission of the author from another board.  This is in response to some wanting W to be tried for some imagined crimes.  I thought it was funny as hell and spot on.

Quote
Would you have liked to see FDR tried (had he lived through WWII) for the wiretapping he did or interring Japanese civilians with absolutely zero probable cause? Or for him trying to expand the executive branch powers by stacking the Supreme Court? Because I don't hear Dems bring that — or his close alliance with Winston Churchill — up very much when they're praising him to the high heavens. Lincoln probably should have been tried for suspending habeas corpus during the Civil War. And we'd probably want to get a trial together for Bobby Kennedy, who illegally wiretapped MLK, other civil rights leaders and assorted political foes while his brother's AG, not to mention hiring the mafia to work against Castro. Clinton and Al Gore would probably be indicted, too, for beginning the practice of rendition with suspects from the 1993 WTC bombing who were sent to Egypt for interrogation.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Great post!  My compliments to the author who, by the way, forgot to mention that Clinton is a member of a very elite club of impeached U. S. Presidents...Andrew Johnson being the only other member.

(For those of you from Tuscaloosa, Pres. Nixon was never impeached.  He resigned and was subsequently pardoned of any charges by Pres. Ford.  Most Democrats godless socialists lie about that fact.)

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem.
