I don't know if anyone saw this rant by Rick Santelli on CNBC last week but it's worth watching.  He was ranting about the stimulus bill on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange...basically causing a small revolt on the trading floor.

I did see this live and enjoyed every second. 

I also imagined the hordes of black vans inevitably racing to the scene to whisk these poor "unenlightened" souls away to the re-education camp.

I saw it.  Pretty good rant.  He is right, you can lower the rates to -2% and still 40% would not be able to afford the house they are in and no one wants to pay for their neighbors mistake.  Rewarding failure begets more failure.

I really discovered over the weekend that I am so deeply angry about what they are doing to this country that  I find it difficult to put into words. What they are doing goes against my core values and that I believe that they go beyond bad and are, in fact, evil.  I believe deeply in the Ronald Reagan view of America: hard work, reward for industry, cleverness, and ingenuity, consequences for laziness, reward for investment, consequences for foolishness. I believe that some have handed the keys over to an evil man who wants to enslave us all for his greater glory. Between him, Pelosi/Reid and the rest of the socialist we will be so fucked that it will take us years to recover.

I tell ya buddy; you (all) might think that I'm crazy as the March Hare but I think that there's a genuine and possibly concerted effort to destroy personal wealth in this country to make us all dependent on FedGov.  After seeing another stock market dive today it's becoming clear that The ONE and his minions efforts are doing next to nothing to help stabilize the situation. 

The ONE has got the bully pulpit and an extraordinarily high approval rating yet he is doing NOTHING to assuage the fear that is clearly driving all the markets right now.  The so-called stimulus bill has done nothing to help stabilize the housing market; nothing to help small business; and nothing to substantially reduce taxes.  The ONE's house bill proposed does nothing to stabilize housing; it only helps the worthless people who made bad decisions and got over their head.  I'm sorry for them; but I think there are other ways to re-energize housing besides bailing them out!  Santelli was absolutely right and as he said in his interview with Kudlow the reason the White House singled him out was because he touched a nerve.

I am one of the crazies that is right there with you.  I honestly believe that as well.  If they tell you a lie enough times and for long enough, eventually you will believe it, or at least being to question yourself.  Once they can make us dependent on the Government then they have us by the balls to do what they want to.  Reading the words "destroy personal wealth"  reminds me of what Justice John Marshall said.  "The power to tax, involves the power to destroy" and I believe that the socialist exactly want to do just that.  Tax the hell out of us who work and have to the point that will destroy us not only financially, but destroy or will as well.  "IF" they ever succeed, then they have us beat.
