Copying Saban, Chiz speaks to the women's basketball team.

"That was so tight when he came in," said senior guard Whitney Boddie, who had 20 points and 10 assists. "My eyes were all big. He gave us a really good speech. I don't know if he practiced it. I was fired up. It might have had something to do with that first half."

What did he say?

"He talked about Triple-A," Boddie said. "Don't ask me what that means."

"Anyone, anywhere, anytime," teammate DeWanna Bonner interjected from the next microphone at the dais.

Anyone, anywhere, any time = Southern Miss.

Not to put a small pinhole in your lynching party but I had never heard of Southern Miss using that and I have said it plenty.

It's been their motto for more than 20 years. They've done TV campaigns, billboards, radio ads and (obviously) t-shirts with the slogan on there. Jeff Bower invented it.

This thread was started as a goof, however. I have no idea what he was talking about (or why Nell Fortner would allow him to address her winning basketball team).

I just thought it was funny and would get a few of the usual suspects riled up. Had no idea you two were the usual suspects.

Pat Hill's dumbass must think he is at Southern Miss as well, b/c I have heard him say that on TV. So did my high school baseball coach for that matter. We were 3A and always scheduled up and that was his reasoning for it.

From the 10 seconds I spent googling, I found that it's more widely associated with Fresno and Florida State than Southern Miss.

I could understand your argument if Chizik wanted to print up shirts with this phrase - like Bowden's AttitUde shirts. I could understand it even if he broke this line out at a press conference with the media. However, the fact is that he used it in a pre-game pep talk to our Women's Basketball team. He had no idea he would be quoted as saying this, and I don't honestly believe he's trying to adopt this mantra for our football team.
