I will wait until Oku decides what he wants to do before I will give my grade. If this staff had been here for a year or longer, I would have to rate it a B-. Considering the fact that they truly only had just a little over a month, I will be kind and give them a B+. If Oku signs I could give them an A-.
Not getting Phillips was a big minus for this staff, I don't know who in the hell FSU does it, but they always finish strong. Overall I am very pleased with what they have accomplished in a short amount of time. Blake, Egaue, Benton, Rollison, Aycock, Paige, Lanier, Gulley, Bates, Jackson and Mosley didn't even have offers from us until this staff arived. I can't remember if Travis, Sullen, and Washington did. I dont' think we would have got any of those three with the old staff, I think Travis would have went to MSU, Washington to Ole Miss and Sullen somewhere else.
We did lose Atchison, Robinson, Cotton, Heavens, Kenney, Conner, and Perkins that I can think of off the top of my head. Robinson wouldn't even entertain a visit from the new staff, Cotton, well I think we all got tired of his daddy, Atchison, we tried but didn't make it, Kenny, I don't think we would have commited anyways, he was a Franklin recruit, Heavens needed somewhere to go where admissions weren't as tough, Conner and Perkins we kinda backed off of for some reason, but they still had offers. Such is life as a recruiter, you win some you lose some. Out of that bunch, I think the trade offs were way in our favor. The one that hurts is Robinson and he wasn't even willing to let the new staff come visit him, he was a xCTT man all the way.
Once again, overall, I was pleased with the effort of this staff.
