Honestly, I really didn't care who won the Superbowl yesterday since the Carolina Panzers didn't make it. I kind-of thought that it would be the Steelers but didn't really have a dog in the hunt so to speak.
I was disgusted by the choice of that ne'er-do-well, blue-collar wanna-be otherwise known as "The Boss" to perform at the half-time show. Both GarMan and I switched to something more exciting rather than subject ourselves to this fucking lib-puke.
But I was further disgusted at Steelers Owner Dan Rooney going (seemingly) out of his way to thank The ONE at the end of the game (never mind doing the normal thing of thanking God or Jesus...but in retrospect I guess they're all one-in-the-same to The ONE's supporters). This was, I thought, an un-necessary introduction of politics into an apolitical, quintessentially-American, annual sporting event. I thought to myself, why did Rooney thank The ONE.

"I think it came as a surprise to most political pundits in Pennsylvania," said Gerald Shuster, a professor of political communication and presidential rhetoric at the University of Pittsburgh who said the Rooneys traditionally stay away from political endorsements but usually finance campaigns on both sides of the aisle.

Makes me wonder why, the hell, Rush was supporting this team?!
