Actually, Kirby Smart was in Olive Branch going over signing day papers with Rod Woodson. An Arkansas coach was at Olive Branch as well and Woodson was trying to sell Alabama and Arkansas on Bates, but nothing really materialized.

Both sites acknowledge an offer from Alabama and Tennessee scissors.  I'm sorry, but you don't know better than the entire reporting staff of both sites.  Thanks for playing though.   It's a good pick up.

I have texted with Daren the last 36 hours and he told me if ua would offer he would visit this weekend. But no offer.

I just really don't think we're going to go offering a guy that is a 2* with only an offer from Arkansas St and Central Arkansas.....maybe UT, five days before NSD for a position we're really not hurting for.
