From another board. Talking about Mitch Mustain

...makes me wonder why he wouldn't consider transferring to Auburn. I know it would mean sitting another year and he would only have one year of eligibility remaining (I think) and he would probably piss off some Arkansans even more (if that were possible) but he already knows Gus' offense and so by the time the rest of the team had a year of it under their belt he could step right into the starting role.

Not that I want to see Aubie with back-to-back QB's from Arkansas but if I was in Mitch's shoes and I really was thinking of transferring can't see why he would not consider it at least.

Hmmm, I'm not sure he would be willing to do that.  If he did, he'd be going up against Barrett Trotter for his Senior year, and I'm not so sure Mitchy could win that battle.  But, there's a better chance of him beating out BT, for his SR year, as it would be of him beating out Aaron Corp this coming year.

Is he really considering transferring again?  Is he even allowed to transfer again?

Why leave USC when the starting role is open?  Aaron Corp and Matt Barkley are going to push him, but if he's worth a shit, he can win the job.  I, personally, would rather not have Mustain-must-start-or-else transfer to Auburn.  We can make do without him.

That would be a intresting move, I can't see it happening but Coach Carroll would be hell pissed.

We just went through the "QB following his chosen mentor/coordinator" routine, thankyouverymuch - and you see where THAT got us...  NO THANKS.

I couldn't care less at this point what name is on the jersey, as long as the performance on the field is solid and effective.   Seriously.

There used to be a rule that if you graduated, you could transfer and play your 5th year without sitting out.  Not sure if they changed it or not, and I'm too lazy to look it up.  If it hasn't changed, he'd be better suited to spend another year out west, see if he becomes the starter, then transfer the next year if needed.

You can only transfer after you graduate and not have to sit out if the school that you are transferring to has a graduate program that you are enrolling in and the school you are leaving does not have that program.
