Rush's Bipartisan Stimulus

There's a serious debate in this country as to how best to end the recession. The average recession will last five to 11 months; the average recovery will last six years. Recessions will end on their own if they're left alone. What can make the recession worse is the wrong kind of government intervention.

I believe the wrong kind is precisely what President Barack Obama has proposed. I don't believe his is a "stimulus plan" at all -- I don't think it stimulates anything but the Democratic Party. This "porkulus" bill is designed to repair the Democratic Party's power losses from the 1990s forward, and to cement the party's majority power for decades.

It has been proved time and time again, but people have been told different so that is what they will believe, government involvement made the great depression exactly that.  A depression, now if they would have left shit alone it would have been shorter lived and not as bad.  Not saying that it would not have been tough times, but when the gov't gets involved, its a safe bet that it will get fucked worse than it already is.

I like Rush's plan but, of course, it doesn't have a chance in hell of happening in this current political shituation in Fed-Gov.

I can only defer as I have so often to Milton Friedman and Reagan both quoted in my signature below for all to read every time I make a post.

The three of us (AUTiger1, JohnDeere, and myself) along with GarMan need to be running Fed-Gov...maybe with Joe the Plumber.
