Jacobs, dammit, Jacobs.
I could give a shit about Chizik. He will live or die on the basis of his performance on a job he was not qualified to obtain and should be grateful he got. If he wins, great. It won't be because he was the best choice. If he wins 8 I will probably always wonder if a coach with better qualifications would have won 9, etc.
It is with Jacobs, however, that I have issue. Been that way for a while. I believe I started sounding that alarm about two years or more ago. And look at where we are today...
Trying to find ways to feel good about a hire that ESPN equated with the hiring of Faust at Notre Dame.
So for predictions? I have none. I only have the hope that this horror that pervades my soul is a false alarm for a change.
1. It will be a year of Chapter 7 Brankrupt Companies and Mergers. Big enough to where at least 90% of Americans will feel the effects in some aspect in their daily lives.
2. Russia's Putin tries something to rattle Obama, but only makes himself weaker in his own country for doing so.
3. Isreal takes back the Gaza strip and takes out Iran's nuke facilities.
4. We'll lose at least two young stars to accidents, or drug related death.
5. TigersX.com will hit the 800 member mark, with or without the addition of porn spammers.
6. Kaos and Weasel will still be telling us about why Chizik needs to go despite winning nine games in 2009.
7. Saban leaves Alabama to go to a school out West after a dissapointing follow up to 2008.
8. Bama survives a scandal born from, but not exclusively invloving Andre Smith.
9. I will inevitably go through at least 2 or more new phones....
