I think that conversation was pertaining to getting out of paying any of the tacked on charges.  Not getting tickets themselves.

Right now, the best 9 seats available together (according to the University web site) are in the upper level section 33 row 25. $207 for all 9.

They seem to be about as good as the ones Alabama had for the Panthers/Saints game.
