Mallett should shine in Petrino's offense.  How's the D looking for '09 though?

you didn't ask me, but then, that has never stopped me before.

we are currently attempting to load up on dt's and de's in our recruiting class, who will most likely will have to play right away.  that should tell you a lot.  the defense will be an absolute question mark right up until the first game is done.  literally no idea, but I for one am not optimistic.  I think half the battle will be if Robinson is retained as DC and if Botkin is retained as ST coordinator, but the reality is that we just don't have SEC ath-a-letes on that side of the ball yet.

our offense, however, should be as good as Arkansas has seen in it's history.  hopefully, we can texass tech everyone, and I don't mean OU-texass tech, but you know, oklahoma state-texass tech.  realistically, 2010 remains the target year, though I do think we will be a 7 or 8 win team in 09.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."

He said it pretty well, we are thin, and young...but there is some talent.

I'm not completly sold on our defensive coordinator, but he was dealt a pretty shitty hand  talentwise.

Nutt absolutely left the cupboard bare.

I didn't even know Arkansas HAD two Dicks until the LSU game - and honestly?  I could give two dicks about them both - I don't exactly keep up with those Dicks so I had no clue that the "little 'un" moved on since "big 'un" graduated, or whatever passes for "gittin outta skewl" in Arkansas...   :)

hmmmm....sounds like you have a bad case of teh penus envy.

I'm personally ready for the Hogs to never have a player/coach named after a male body part.

for the record, Nutt burned Casey's redshirt so he could insert Dick when he pulled Johnson against the Cocks in 05.

Tennessee has as many problems as we had this year, and we still won that game.
Arkansas will be breaking in a new QB.  He's good, but green.
Kentucky will continue to be KY.
LSU still has the horses and will win despite Miles.
Miss has some very good players (some used to be Tigers) and will win some games despite Nutt.
Georgia still has superior talent and coaching.
Bama loses the Senior QB and OL that made their offense click.

I thought I'd read that he was.  I could be wrong.

Still, losing Hoke has to hurt him a bit.

Our record in 2009 is 0-0.  Snap. One day at a time. Dats what I'm talkin bout.

One day at a time. We are building an empire. I see a very possible 9-3 or better. We could also tank. Who knows?

Arkansas will be breaking in a new QB.  He's good, but green.

To really hammer home my homerific appeal, Mallett is green at Arkansas, but not green to college football.  The kid started 2/3 of a season at Michigan.  Not quite the same as the SEC, but not exactly bush league.

In his first news conference as AUBURN'S head coach in 1981, Pat Dye was asked this question:  "How long will it take you to beat Alabama"?  To which he responded, "Oh, about 60 minutes".
