It was someone from the Big Ten for starters, it didn't happen in the SEC the only conference that matters to me, but since you won't leave it alone, let me explain something to you. One of my best friends is a Maize and Blue guy.  We watch a lot of Big-10 games b/c of him. We have to in order to keep him form bitching.  How many Big-10 games do you watch?  Levi Brown, Jake Long and Dan Mozes (Big East) were just as good, if not better.  Now in 06 Bert Bielema was in his first year as HC at Wisc.  He took them to a top 10 ranking, around 6 I think, Wisc was getting a lot of media attention, Mich was too, but not near as much as Wisc was.  It was a great story, Alvarez retires, his coordinator takes over and has a phenomenal season.  WVU well they were good, top 20 or so but not the best, do you think media coverage had anything to do with it?  Just like this year.  UA got a lot of media coverage. But of course that had nothing to do with it at all did it?  Media coverage never influences anything, ever!  So yeah, I can make that argument if you would like for me too.

So do you not want to answer the question Kaos put forward?  How does one win the top lineman of the year award but yet, his own conference coaches doesn't think he is the best?  I know, all reporters/sports writers are smarter than any coaches who have viewed hours worth of film and coach against and with these guys, right?  Which goes right along with what Kaos has been saying all along, just FURTHER proof that post season awards are garbage.

EDIT:  Trust me, I drank many of beers on Saturdays listening to how good Long was and why Mich deserved to replay OSU for the title that year.

he won the Outland in 06 and wasn't selected as best lineman in his conference. so since its such a travesty, lets hear why he shouldn't have won it in 06 and who should have won it in 06. but i can gather that since he didn't play for Alabama, you don't really give a shit. only if an Alabama player wins something, THEN is it total bullshit and theres a problem. i didn't see you pitching a fit in 06. if you go down the list you will probably find even more than have won the Outland but wasn't best lineman in his conference, so its not like there is some precedence that sets that as a prerequisite. like you and i, apparently the SEC and the people who award the Outland have differing opinions.

I am here merely to point and laugh.  And to make you dance.

and Joe Thomas came in second only to be beaten by Adrian Peterson for NFL Rookie of the Year. i think Jake Long took lineman of the year in the conference in 06 and 07 or 05 and 06, can't remember which combination. what exactly have Levi Brown or Jake Long done in the NFL, or what accolades have they received? i didn't see them as runner-up for rookie of the year, so maybe, just maybe, the people who awarded the Outland were on to something.

....we are talking about what players did in college, not what they accomplished in the NFL dumbass..if you are going to make that argument then lets give Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, TO and Marques Colston (and the list goes on) the freaking Heisman award b/c according to your argument, their NFL careers were a lot better than there college.....Jake Long, Dan Mozes and Levi Brown that year in 06, (do you understand that?)  could easily be argued that they deserved the Outland...are you really this stupid or did you really have to work at it?
