- FOX10 News sources have told us Auburn will name Will Muschamp it's new Head Coach sometime Friday. Muschamp of course was Auburn's Defensive Coordinator two years ago.

This season he was on the sidelines as the Defensive Coordinator for the Texas Longhorns. He was also named as the Longhorns Head Coach in waiting.

According to our source, Auburn will hold a press conference sometime Friday to make the announcement.

After all that shit the Texas mods and admins on Rivals talked about Auburn, I kinda hope we get him. 

I still prefer Turner Gill.  Muschamp's going to be a great head coach, but I think Gill could have been something special for Auburn.

WSFA, Huntsville and all other reports are based off of a report coming out of Mobile.  By all acounts from people connected to the program, no such agreement has been met.

Probably just need to take a chill pill and wait to see what happens.  It has been acknowledged that Jacobs and 3 others visited with Gary Patterson today and returned to Auburn late this afternoon.  

The Spurrier news I'm afraid was more Sexton talk.

Someone told me that the interview with Patterson was for the D.C. coordinator position under Muschamp.  Take it as a grain of salt, because I don't believe it.  They also told me that Muschamp was locked in as AU head coach weeks ago.

By dechiphering your smilie code, I would say that we really didn't get owned because if this board is a representation of Auburn fans most of us did not want him as our head coach.  I will admit that IMO he is not in my top 3 but he is also not the worse candidate we have interviewed either.  ie I would certainly take Muschamp over Nix.
