Yeah, I remember all those hyping to finally get him in a game when he was suspended. All I heard was on how much of a stud he was and all of that. He is one of the many examples on why I don't get into all the hype about recruits until they show me what they can do on a Div-1 football field.
Blackmon had his moments, but he did not live up to the hype. The again, I don't know if any recruit could have lived up to what many were saying he could do.
Unlike Powers, Blackmon going pro makes no sense at all. He has yet to play a full season at Auburn, and as we have already commented, his numbers are not exactly what NFL scouts are looking for. Sad thing is that he had apparently already made this decision before the season was even over and while he was sitting the bench because of a nearly season long injury.
