On JOX now. So far, mostly the expected official talk, but he has made it clear that Tommy was not fired, but resigned. This was completely his decision. Jay apparently asked him three times if it was possible to change his mind. He said he thought it was best for him, his family, and Auburn to take a break for now.

He also said he will continue to be a part of the Auburn family, which is great news. They're looking for a role for him now.

Apparently they're still paying the full $6 mil buyout.

I am sure that it was all Tubs decision. It was his decision to either fire everyone of his offensive coaches or resign. Tubby has got a lot a pride and I am sure that he just said fuck it when Jay said "do this, do that, or your gone"...

I don't like the way I have heard this was handled either. However, there is a part of me that also recognizes that as much as I like CTT it is his incompetence that has allowed sub-par coaches to keep their jobs over the years at AU at the expense of our offensive competence. He stuck to his guns with his buddies and that is what got him pushed out more than anything else imo. He put those guys before what was best for AU and it ruined him, and if I am correct in saying that then it should have ruined him. I hate to see CTT go, but am hoping it will be for the better.
