Along with heights and weights, and names.
I'm always interested to see how guys progress when they get into a high level skrength and conditioning program, especially the true freshmen. These days, it's almost odd, if someone from the most recent signing class is not on campus, and in workouts. The 2025 roster is out, and Spring football is about to crank up. Just a few notables:
Starting Defensive Tackle, Malik Blocton, is going into his second season, and is up to 6'3" 301. He signed at 6'3" 255.
Virginia Tech Offensive Tackle transfer, Xavier Chaplin, comes in at 6'7" 338.
My pick for immediate impact player from this signing class is Jourdin Crawford. The D-Tackle from Parker is listed at 6' 339. I expect to see opposing QB's trying to get out of the center's way, a lot.
Another immediate impact player should be Jared Smith, from Thompson. With 6'6" 270 Keldrick Faulk coming off one edge, and Smith flying around the other at 6'6" 245, this could be fun.
QB Deuce Knight is listed at 6'4" 213. Good googly moogly, I want this guy to be our future.
DT, Zykevious Walker, returns for his 15th year.
Some of these freshmenz come in with some fresh names:
DB, Anquon "Newboy" Fegans
DB, Blake "Bobble" Woodby
LB, Bryce "Juice" Deas
It's still February, but I'm ready for some FOOTBALL!!!
