I was home at lunch, and got caught up in watching the Senate Confirmation Hearing on DOD nominee, Pete Hegseth. These hearings mostly infuriate me, as they alternate between Republican and Democrat Senators for questioning, with the standard party line positive/negative approaches.

Repub:  Mr. Hegseth, thank you for your service.  What would you do to help speed up the production of new ships for our Navy?

Dem:  Isn’t it true that a female staffer under your leadership, made a sexual harassment claim against another member of your staff?

It went on like that for the hour I watched.  I had never heard of Hegseth until he was nominated, and I wouldn’t have had a clue who he was if walked through the door, until I saw him today. Mr. Hegseth served in Asscrackistan and Iraq fairly recently.  Apparently, he has a bit of a sordid past, most notably with heavy drinking, which it was also pointed out that he was very open about in a book he wrote..  This means I too, have a sordid past.

I liked what I heard from the guy.  He wants to get the recruitment numbers back up, weed out all of the DEI and CRT policies, increase production of ships, planes and military equipment in general, actively recruit the thousands of officers who were fired for not taking the jab, and give them back pay etc.  Pretty no-nonsense stuff to get our military back where it needs to be.  Although I have never served, I’m a big believer in keeping our military at full strength and at the ready at all times, which seems to be his goal.

Just from the hour I saw, I think the guy is ready for the job.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

He's hired.

It's always like that.  Republicans offer fact-based analysis, Democrats function only on emotional appeal.

You see it played out everywhere.  Even here.

They all learned this from Alinsky. Even if they don't know it. He fueled that movement in the 60s that still exists today. Its all a modern day, emotion based version of "Art of War".
