I like Jared Smith, but I won't be a copy cat.

Jourdin Crawford:  Beast on the interior D-line.  Immediate impact since we don't have numbers there.

Derick Smith: Malcolm Simmons prototype.  He touches the ball, good stuff happens

Alvin Henderson: A little hesitant here.  Mr. Football in Alabama. Pinball machine numbers.  But it was still against the 1A or 2A competition.  Can't recall what Elba is.  I remember Anthony Gulley from Brantley years ago.  Total dominance in HS, but he was pretty much special teams at AU.  I have a feeling AH is the real deal, though.


Caveat: I am high on 3 DB's in Fegans, Winters and Woodby.  But, I'm looking at more immediate impact players, and our defensive backfield is stacked.  Might be hard to crack the rotation.

Jared Smith is going to leave Auburn on high regards. I feel the same about Alvin H. He is good but can he do it in the SEC. I do love some Winters. That dude is a bad ass. Can't forget Autry either...

I have some AU buddies that went to the Dothan/Opelika game just to see Autry. They said he unloads well.  Looks the part, but can't recall him being involved in many plays.  Doesn't mean anything, and he had to be that highly rated for a reason.

My BIL coached at Rehobeth back when they scrapped with Greenville and Marlon Davidson.  He said MD was a cocky sumbitch, and was talking schipth to his tackle after one play.  Said the tackle knocked the cocky out his mouf on the next play. 

Marlon turned out okay, though.
