You can keep a wooden stake in your trunk
On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.

That is absolute garbage.

I like both separately.  Floyd is hallowed ground to me.  For a couple albums they achieved perfection. Its deep.

T, well, he was an original but never a favorite.  Not bad but others so much better.  He does SVU and car warranty ads now.

I could support either alone.  Would. But not this mash up.

Dark Side of the Moon
Wish You Were Here
The Wall

Dark Side really, really resonates.  Especially if you're depressed. I could listen to it over and over.
Wish You Were Here as a 25-minute version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond
The Wall.... well.....

Not a bad track on any of those albums.  Iconic stuff.
I didn't hate Momentary Lapse of Reason, but it wasn't as good.  Animals and Division Bell I didn't care for as much.

The stuff prior to Dark Side is almost like listening to a different band. Didn't do much for me.

Strong choices. Would recommend a revisit to The Division Bell someday. It's got some solid moments. Pre-DSofM, Meddle is worth your time if for nothing more than Echoes.

Put me in a mood to turn Dark Side on again.

As somebody who’s passed middle age and dashed headlong into the “golden” years… Time is brutal.  How those guys at their age at the time captured the fleeting fuilty of life and reaching the realization you aren’t going to have this indelible impact on the world…..

I thought I’d something more to say.

I see it strongly in my dad.  At 85 he struggles wondering what his legacy is.  Almost every conversation now contains some element or him trying to define it.

I feel it in my bones too.

No one told me when to run.  I missed the starting gun.

"Wish You Were Here" drew me in as a teenager learning to play the guitar.

"Time" devastated me as a young man already second-guessing some things...without knowing how much it would keep getting worse.

If you want to experience a little emotional vertigo, listen to Easy Star All Stars' album, Dub Side of the Moon.  A note-by-note recreation of DSOTM in a dub-reggae style.
