I’m watching Penguin on HBO.  It’s not great but it’s solid.

I’m not a fan of the Gigante/Falcone girl. Collin Farrell is pretty great.  The story is decent enough.  It’s not compelling and mark the calendar (I’ve forgotten to watch and had to catch up a couple of times) but I want to see how it plays out. 

One question lingers.  Where oh where is The Batman?

First season of Penguin is in the books.

Took a really, really dark turn in the season one finale. I understand why, but that was unexpected and difficult to watch. 

Not sure if there will be a second season.  Colin Farrell hasn’t said he’s willing to tolerate the makeup and prosthetics it takes to do it again. Hope there is. 

Also not sure they can get Batman into it and that, at some point, probably before now honestly, is gonna be necessary.

If it doesn’t return that was still a solid entry in the Bat universe.  Unlike Joker and the disastrous 2, neither of which ever had or have a place in Bat lore.
