A few "get off my lawn" thoughts for today.
1. I've seen enough of Hawk Tuah. She was interesting for a day, maybe two, max. Her 15 minutes are up and it's time for her to fade into the oblivion that is the fate of all true 6/10s who have a brief "hot" moment.
2. I've seen more than enough of Caitlyn Clark. I don't appreciate being force-fed her or Hawk.
3. There should be some sort of parental warning before ads for medicine that feature the flamboyant groping, humping, and mauling each other. There's no place for that on streaming networks that have shows directed at kids. Parents should have the ultimate say in whether that content is appropriate.
4. HOAs are out of control. They've become punitive platforms for people with mental issues. The guy who stalks around with a pad complaining about EVERYTHING? He's gonna get a nasty message burned into his yard with salt. Threatening to call the cops on kids at 10:05 on the last day before school starts because the pool CLOSES AT 10 AND HE NEEDS HIS SLEEP! Dude. Don't buy a house that is adjacent to the pool. Measuring people's grass with a yardstick? I wonder, does a colon stretch out to three feet?
5. If you are an actor or a musician? Shut UP and do that. Your opinions on politics, economics, the scam that is "climate change" or any topic outside your lyrics or the part you played are as worthless as the dirty stripe in an homeless man's diaper. You know nothing. Less than nothing, in truth. So shut up. That goes for you, too, Greta - pie faced wench.
Hawk Tua is on the 13th minute of her 15. I'll admit, even before that went "viral", I watched it about 100 times, because I really wanted her to spit on that thang. But, something like that can only last so long, and it's about run it's course.
Here's my take on the musician/celebrity "preaching" issue. I remember on this board, a couple of years ago, someone posted side by side pics of Will Ferrell wearing campaign t-shirts for Stacy Abrams and Pete Bootyjuice. Some folks were like, Fuck Will Ferrell. My thoughts were, big deal, pretty much half the country votes Democrat, and half Republican. If that's where Ferrell's loyalty lies, more power to him.
When Jim Carrey paints pictures of Trump being murdered, when Kathy Griffin takes a pic holding a severed Trump head, when Madonna says she thinks about blowing up the White House, when Johnny Depp says he dreams about assassinating the President, when Robert DeNiro says he wants to, "punch Trump in the face", that's not supporting a candidate, that's promoting violence, plain and simple, and they need to STFU. Most people have clear heads and just face palm. Others are absolutely influenced by it.
You have celebrities walking the red carpet, stopping for photo ops while wearing $500K dresses and jewelry, then preaching to us in their acceptance speeches about politics, guns and climate change, then have their armed body guards escort them back to their gated communities with $15 million mansions. A week later, you see pictures of them in People Magazine, sunning on the deck of someone's $100 million yacht in the Mediterranean. Yeah, you and me and the rest of the country, ain't living in the same world. How about another big cup of STFU.
