The kid doesn’t look right. 

As weird as this sounds?  I need to hear the voiceover first. Dexter’s narration drove a lot of it. It that’s off? I dunno.

Here’s an odd thought…who will be the Harry/Deb dead family member?  It can’t be his mother, he doesn’t remember her.  I think you have to have that aspect.

Not sure about Slater.  Maybe. 

The dead family member was Dexter’s mom.  Harry found him in the boxcar covered in blood. They can’t change that

But he doesn’t remember her until later.  She can’t appear to Dex when he is a teenager like Harry and Deb do in the original and New Blood.  I see issues with that aspect of the things that made Dexter so engaging.

Kid doesn't fit and Slater definitely doesn't. I liked the original series so much even with the poor finale. And New Blood was sort of a homage but I'm done with it.
