My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

An offensive lineman flew in from the portal this weekend Ronan Chambers played in 37 games for Akron.  Not huge at 6'6" 285.  Not highly rated.  In fact, he was actually transferring to Tulane before taking a visit to teh Planez.

It just puts some experienced depth in the room.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

A luxury that we have not experienced in that room in a long, long time.

Although, I have to say Five Guys has adjusted some things to make it easier.  I got a cheeseburger, fries and a coke there last week.  My first payment is not due until July 1st.

I really wanted him to come back and play Buck. Dude is 6’5”, 245 Lbs, has 4.6-4.7 speed, and was one of our top rated pass rushers last year. Wanting production from him that mirrored the best of of Quentin Groves (R.I.P.), Dee Ford, Jeff Holland, Carl Lawson, etc. A rotation of pretty even snaps between McLeod, Crawford, and him would have been a pretty sticky wet dream.

While I like that idea, I’m not sure he was gonna find his way here. He had a lot of chances and just couldn’t find that niche.

Riley would have been firmly in the rotation but maybe he felt some of the younger studs would eventually steal some of that playing time as the season progressed to damage his draft value.
He does represent the only true impactful loss in the portal to date.

Colton Hood....Better at his craft.

The DB room is deep. But he was 100% our nickel, and possibly in line to be CB on either side with the upward trajectory he was moving. That one was mind boggling.

That one seemed to be all about Daddy Hood getting Colton's lil bro Brandon a scholly offer when all the offers dried up due to his knee injury. Package deal....and thats exactly what happened when they both signed with Coach Prime Moron at Colorado. You'd think Colton wouldn't want to get used as a pawn to get lil bro a scholly but here we are. Welcome to the portal/nil age of wheelin and dealin.

Wasn't aware of the backstory. Hood did play well best as I recall.

Colton Hood appeared in only 4 games.  They were against UMass, Samford, Vandy and Maryland.  He had 3 total tackles for the season, all of which were in the Maryland game.  No sacks, no interceptions.

He took a huge step down in competition going to Colorado.  They didn't exactly steal a stud.

Dayum GH and me must have been thinking of Roderick Hood. I thought there wasn't much anxiety on here when Colton transferred out.

No. Colton. Rod is his uncle. He was absolutely our nickelback and made huge strides this spring. #3 cb coming out of spring. Regularly held his own covering Coleman in spring practice.

Losing him this year hurt worse than if we had lost him last year. He was a key piece of the secondary this year. He was not last year.

Lot of that had to do with his growth in the off season and the departure of 3 CB’s in Pritchett, James and Simpson.

I thought we established a standard here over the years concerning up and comers v. known quantities... re: loss of Hood/loss of Riley.

But thanks for catching me up on Spring practice notes because I did not know the kid was so highly coveted in the secondary.
