Romo is nothing like Tebow. Tebow would have held a press conference and done a 30 minute interview on what a great gesture it was and how Tebow himself drastically changed this mans life...

Romo is just a good down to earth guy. He passed up big money last year and didn't even once think about holding out for more money. He was the starting QB for the cowboys making, I think, league minimum. When asked why he didn't demand more...he said, "man, I get paid pretty damn good for playing football. The rest will work itself out". Later that year he was rewarded with a 6 year $66 mil contract.

Romo is still a down to earth guy that is just living every guys dream. He does shit like this because he wants to, not becasue he is going to get any kind of fame from it. The quote "He confirmed the encounter with Doc but wouldn't elaborate." should tell you he did it just to do it...

The dude is a bad ass in my book and if you can't tell, I have a man crush "I want to be this dude for a day" thing for the guy!

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

What the article didn't tell you was that Romo took him to see High School Musical 3, and he also spilled a large coke in the guy's lap.

The dude is a bad ass in my book and if you can't tell, I have a man crush on the guy!

That makes the third isolated time today that I've heard (or read in this case) that term after never having heard it before.

It sounded ghey to me in each incident; but, is this some kind of new, hip, urban term?  Being an old fart I don't keep up with the new lingo.

My definition of "man crush" and how I used it above is simply: I want to be this dude.

Here is why I want to be him...He is the QB of the Dallas Cowboys, he makes a ton of money, he is fucking Jessica Simpson, could have any other chick in the state of Texas if he wanted, and he is a down to earth dude that likes to hang out and have fun.

So it's not so much as a "crush" per say as it is that I would want to live one day in the life of this dude. They only other dude that would be considered is Tom Brady...but he is a prick so I choose Romo...

It would sure suck to have that one day end up being one of the days that Ms. Simpson was out of commission huh.

Well...that makes sense.

Being a pro-active man I actually looked up the term only to discover these disturbing definitions, both sound kind-of ghey to me; but what-ever blows your skirt so to speak...I'm not sayin' anything...:

Quote
Man Crush

For a man to have a very close platonic friendship and/or admiration for another man.

"Ben Affleck has had a man crush on Matt Damon for a long time."

man crush

A strong and extremely complicated positive emotion that a straight male feels towards another male. It is by no means homosexual, although it could possibly involve some degree of sexual attraction. This is not the type of sexual attraction that one would actually pursue; it is merely a complex sort of desire out of "fantasy" that is driven by jealousy and/or great admiration.  A 'man crush' can basically be described as not a homosexual lust, but a human lust.

Too funny.

By the way, speaking of Tom Brady my search dug up this old article from Jan 2008 on this very subject and it included another term that probably should be shunned by a heterosexual male "Bromance", WOW that's ghey:

Quote
The Tom Brady man crush

by Nicole Carter
Daily News staff writer
Wednesday, January 30th 2008

Tom Brady: The Giants know how to deal with him on the field. But in preparation for Sunday's big game, the playbooks may have left out where Brady poses the biggest threat - in the stands.

It's a phenomenon called the Tom Brady Man Crush, and it has taken hold of straight male football fans - yes, even some Giants fans - all over New York City.

As defined by Urbandictionary.com, a man crush is when a "straight man has an extreme admiration for another man, as though he wants to be him." But Mike Philbrick, editor at ESPN.com's Page 2, offers a quick litmus test for diagnosing the Brady bromance: Would you turn down buying your girlfriend a drink if Tom Brady asked you to buy him a drink instead?

"It's not that the two of you want to move to Cape Cod and open a small glass-blowing studio," Philbrick adds, just to clear things up.

Brady's athleticism is not the only thing that has the dudes dreaming.

"He's living a fictitious story in real life, right down to the dimple in his chin," says Philbrick.

Brady's bodacious good looks made him the new Stetson man, and his charms won him Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen. He already has three Super Bowl rings, but always insists his teammates get credit for their success.

"He is the All-American guy, with this 'Golly-gee, I won Super Bowl MVP and aw shucks, I'm dating a supermodel' attitude," Philbrick says

I certainly would not kick either one of them out of bed... Tom is better looking, but he is coming across like a dick these days...

I can certainly understand how any guy could have a full blown (pun not intended literally) man crush on Romo.

I have a man crush on Jack Bauer, and I'm not afraid to admit it.  I will be sitting in front of my TV for two hours on Sunday night, pounding the pud while eating a large bowl of cheesy poofs.  Every time he kills somebody, I have to change my boxers.  But that's just me, carry on here

The phrase, man crush, is most definitely gay.  No self-respecting heterosexual male would ever utter those words unless inclined to clarify the silly-assed definition.   :puke:
