Looking at the South bracket, it really comes down to whether or not we get that mojo back. If Broome is doing Broome things, and everybody else just plays plays close to their potential, we're coming out of there. We don't have to be hitting on all cylinders, just playing a solid all-around game, and we're 10 points better than everyone in the region.
A few games/teams of interest in the South:
Bryant may hang with The Fighting Izzo's for a bit. MSU has no stars, but much like Auburn, they come at you in waves of experienced players. Bryant has, I believe, the tallest starting 5 in the game, with the guards both being 6'6". No upset, but maybe a good game for a while.
Yale vs. Texas A&M. Yale is 22-7 in a patsy league. But two of those losses were to Purdue by 8, and Minnesota by 3. They have that piss you off knack for hanging around where they're not welcome. I'm no A&M fan, but I hope they blow those doors in early and often.
My upset special in this region is New Mexico over Marquette. Not going out on a limb in calling for a 10 over a 7, but the Lobos have some nice wins, including over San Diego State, UCLA and USC.
