Mr. Nix Getting One More In

I have no clue where Bo Nix lands in the pecking order of QB's coming out this year.  A lot of good ones in the draft. With the year he had this season and last, he's definitely going to hear his name the first day.  So, while most of the guys like Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels skipped their bowl games, and I imagine Michael Penis, Jr. III would have, had he not been in the playoffs, Bo played in a totally meaningless game against Liberty. 

Now, he's going to play in the Senior Bowl, just because, "I love to play".  He gave us all he had since he took over for Cam Newton.  I believe he would have finished his career at Auburn, had he not been "coached" by Mr. Potato Head.  Obviously, he did the right thing in leaving, and I'm glad he found huge success with the Ducks.  Much respect for the guy in this day and age of entitled athletes.

After we booted the potato gang I allowed myself small flight of fancy: Bo returns to Auburn with Dan Lanning to win a Heisman and NC at Auburn.

I'm glad for the kid, just wish it had played out better for him on the Plains.

While I do prefer the Robert Johnson-ripoff Crossroads and its excellent guitar duel with the devil scene, Charlie's song stayed with me, as did most story/ballad songs when I was a kid.  The badass fiddlin was just a little lagniappe.

FWIW? I saw Charlie Daniels in concert in about 84.  During the “Still in Saigon” and “Wooley Swamp” timeframe.  The dude could flat ass play. 

It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended.
