Offense was abysmal and they really took advantage of our defensive aggressiveness to get us into foul trouble early.  Bruce also forced a weird rotation with KD sitting the first half.  Way too much Berman too early.

Not too sour about this loss other than the awful shooting.  It was a wild road atmosphere against a decent mid-major, good experience that'll pay dividends later in the season.

App State was always a tough out and a trap game. Sunday at noon, in Boone, NC? Yeahhh. I personally wouldn't have scheduled them in that context. Then on top of that they booty blasted UNC-Wimington by 30. UNCW just booty blasted Kentucky at Rupp Saturday. Just saying App aint bad. Have an off day on O and they will get your ass and make you pay. And they did.

I'm also for having a lineup on the floor that can defend which we normally do well. The only problem with this is that the other team knows which players to challenge offensively such as Cardwell, who offers little to the team in that regard. Johnson can at least finish around the basket and Moore has only slightly improved from last season imo.

Jones is still the best jump shooter, Aden the best at long range when he isn't trying to fire one off while leaning... and Baker-Mazara is a skinny baller that can keep us in games when we are struggling.

He was supposed to be. However, I just haven’t seen it yet. He just seems a bit lost in the floor right now. If he can find his way back before the dance, we could beat the brakes off of some folks.
