The reason is because you stated your argument in all caps and with multiple exclamation marks. ‼️ would have been better and a few “go fuck yourself” would have added some flavor. But, who am I to judge?

Not quite as bad as the UT/Schiano/Pruitt fiasco but Elko was on down their list. He may be who they SHOULD have had higher but Aggie is big on perception and Elko was not an impact hire for them in that regard.....according to them. The ego is big there.

Or maybe their $$$$ people looked at what it was gonna cost to pull Stoops out of Lexington and realized they could get the same thing for a lot cheaper pulling Elko out of the Triangle. They got a good coach who may not win the presser, but they've already paid a lot chasing that.

I think Elko would do good if Aggie sits back for 2-3 years, writes checks and lets him do his thing. But they are about as bad as Auburn in that regard.

Agreed.  Elko is a solid hire who may blossom into something great if given the chance.  He's not going to blow up the monied-boosters' collective skirts, though.
