I am not sure what UCLA expects. They are not elite. They've never been elite. They win games, make bowls, put dudes in the NFL, and stay out of the bad press. Maybe they don't make enough money (one of the reasons for going to the B1G, allegedly), but how is it Chip Kelly's fault people in friggin' Los Angeles aren't that into college football?

Teams like UCLA, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Arkansas need to take a long look in the mirror and come to terms with their future.

The 12 team playoff? Pffffttttt! That's not going to be open to their ilk. That's going to be a super exclusive club. And they ain't in it.

In truth UCLA's attendance for home games is  little more than that of Illnois who draw even less than Big Ten powerhouse Indiana.

I saw Arkansas fans debating what it would take to draw Kirby Smart from Georgia.  "There has to be a number, right? And we've got better facilities and a better fanbase..." 

I've seen ESPN humping Deion to A&M. "Make it happen!"

I've seen Mississippi State fans tossing around names like Lane Kiffin and Freeze (who does seem extremely unhappy at the moment).

Hes looked happier than a pig in shit the last 3 weeks. Add to that the new grandkid.....Telling a certain cancer in the locker room to F off will do that to a guy.

Lane and Hugh probably laughed their asses off seeing that. There are fair criticisms of both those guys personally but to think either of them would leave where they are, to step into the absolute disasters that are Ark and MSU? It's almost a comedy sketch.

Gus was smart to know the ship with Ark has sailed....I think that's what sealed Pittman's fate in more than likely remaining. In reading Hogville, it seems to be the prevailing thought that the feelers they put out to anyone they thought would be better, were met with zero interest - nutshell: They think Pittman is the best they can do right now.
