I really, really dislike Jimbo, but he is definitely not the idiot in this situation... Texas A&M is.

Something I was listening to the day following his firing stated something to the effect of, "Jimbo is getting paid more to NOT coach college football than Jameis Winston has gotten paid the entirety of his NFL career."  Now, I dislike Jameis Winston about as much, if not more than Jimbo.  However, it is out of control how much these folks are getting paid to coach football.  Salaries need a cap and buy outs need to go away completely.  None of that will ever happen, but it would be good for the sport.

I enjoy silly season when it's not us being silly. 

I saw Arkansas fans debating what it would take to draw Kirby Smart from Georgia.  "There has to be a number, right? And we've got better facilities and a better fanbase..." 

I've seen ESPN humping Deion to A&M. "Make it happen!"

I've seen Mississippi State fans tossing around names like Lane Kiffin and Freeze (who does seem extremely unhappy at the moment).

I am not sure what UCLA expects. They are not elite. They've never been elite. They win games, make bowls, put dudes in the NFL, and stay out of the bad press. Maybe they don't make enough money (one of the reasons for going to the B1G, allegedly), but how is it Chip Kelly's fault people in friggin' Los Angeles aren't that into college football?

Teams like UCLA, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Arkansas need to take a long look in the mirror and come to terms with their future.

The 12 team playoff? Pffffttttt! That's not going to be open to their ilk. That's going to be a super exclusive club. And they ain't in it.
