Don't know how you feel about Jake Crain but he's adamant about bringing in Dameyune Craig or Dell McGee to just recruit and gameplan with Hugh as the principle playcaller. I'm okay with Lashee mostly because he's been a success everywhere except for the Gus experience.

He kind of tarnished his legacy with his last stint here for sure. I don’t know shit about fuck as far as inner workings go, but I haven’t heard him brought up as a viable option by the people I listen to.

I just took it as Freeze calls the plays so just replace Montgomery with the best recruiter available which I would hope has Auburn ties.
The incoming kids already know how to catch a ball just need them to line up correctly and someone that can get it in their hands.

If that's what he has to do, he should step aside, take the role of OC and let somebody with management skills take over the program. Same with Gus.  Those guys are career offensive coordinators and pretty decent recruiters masquerading as head coaches.  They've peter principled themselves into a job they can't handle.
