As a codicil to my personal account on election day (see thread "So there I was...") I witnessed several African-Americans who were obviously just there to vote for The Obama and nothing else;
I over heard a similar comment from an African American male in his late 20s at the polling place. It was something to the effect of, "Yeah, this is the first time I've ever voted!". And the response from the other "Democrat" he was speaking with was something to the effect of, "That is great! Civic pride, patrotism, freedom, civic duty.......blah, blah".
While overhearing these comments, it immediately came to my mind, "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST 10 PLUS YEARS ON ELECTION DAY? So know you have a canidate you want to support, that gives you a reason to come out and vote? That is not civic pride or freedom or civic duty, coming out to vote when you fucking feel like it. So, basically you saying, 'Ah fuck all the previous elections, I was either too fucking lazy or too fucking too stupid to come out and vote, but today it's different because of Obama' ".
You can call me right wing or racist or ignorant scum, but in my opinion somebody who shows up to vote when they haven't ever voted in the past because they just haven't fucking cared to for whatever reason, has ZERO civic duty and have no reason to feel proud about voting.
And we will see how many African Americans vote in the next presidental election if there isn't an African American candidate.....That will be the ultimate proof of the reverse racisim in the voting records of Afican Americans. But, HEY THIS IS AMERICA, you can vote any fucking way you want to!
