Last week, I missed on Tenn/A&M and Ducks/Huskies. Both down to the wire games. Despite our own troubles, the fact is, we’re pretty much living up to the expectations of everybody who is not an Auburn fan. We didn’t want to believe it would be a long road back, but unfortunately, that’s reality. However, I’d rather be in our shoes, than those of the Aggie fans. As a follow up to last year’s debacle, The Greasy Car Salesman already has 3 losses half way through the season, and the Bonfire Boys are again, talking about ponying up about $70 million to send him packing.
Will somebody please get some common sense, and learn from these ridiculously one-sided contracts?
Penn State @ tOhio State: Not a great slate of foosballz contests this weekend. The feature game is clearly The Fighting Sandusky’s at THE Ohio State University. Two undefeated, top 10 clubs. While neither of these teams has exactly played a murderer’s row of opponents, they both come in with unbelievable D’s, giving up less than 10 points a game. The Nuts are 4 point favorites at home, but I’m going with Franklin finally getting a signature win.
Penn State: 20
Ohio State: 17
Tennessee @ Alabama: Bama opens as a 9.5 point favorite. Sometimes, I wonder what games these odds makers have been watching, especially after seeing Bama almost take it on the chin against the Piggies. But, they certainly know better than me about that shipth. I took in a good bit of the Vols/Aggies game, and UT has some athletes, especially on the D-line. Joe Milton III is wildly inconsistent, and if Hooker was still taking snaps, I’d take the Vols by double digits in this one. However, it is at The Crapstone, and the Tahd has been finding ways to win the close ones.
Alabama: 24
Tennessee: 21
Ole Miss @ Auburn: I said in last week’s thread, that despite LSU’s D being ass, I didn’t think we would come up with enough offensive firepower to get in a shootout with them. We didn’t. In fact, we took two steps backward on that side of the ball. What would make anybody think they’ll magically come up with creative ways to keek the touchdowns this week? On the other hand, the Landshark Black Bears know what they’re doing on offense. Our only hope is for Lane Kiffin to go for it 7 times on 4th down. Still won’t help. Hobby Lobby.
Ole Miss: 35
Auburn: 21
Feel free to opine, talk amongst yourselves, or bring other games into the mix.
