I am good riding with this.  On paper, it looks like a dangerous team.  I would think that Hooks and Camden Brown on the outside give us the most potential, and bringing in Shorter and Kelly to spell those guys makes most sense in my little brain.  I don't get paid 6 million a year to make these decisions though, so I'll shut up and color until I have reason to question.

Hugh was directly asked about rushing defense in his presser today, and very transparently lacked confidence in our ability to stop the run consistently.  This deficiency alone, if proved true, is the difference between a 6-6 & 9-3 team.

Don't rush me, sonny. You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.

Hope the D can find the nuts this Saturday. 3-timer transfer QB Tyson Farmakong and the Minutemen will pound ye olde rock if given the opportunity.

Miller had a really good camp so Britton beating him out at RT was a little suprising. Some thought Britton - who can play multiple positions - may move around on the line as opposed to making Miller a backup. Britton could end up being the better option at LG depending on how Wright does.

McAlister and Riley must have also had great summer camps. Good to see them grab those spots. Lot of athleticism there.

Lastly....Jaylin Simpson is a straight baller in the defensive backfield....but who on earth is this guy?

Walkon from Baylor who played under Roberts' system.  Apparently familiarity with play calling can trump athletic ability in some scenarios.

You can keep a wooden stake in your trunk
On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.
