13 days until the War Eagle Tigers crank it up on the practice field. I'm curious about how much access we'll get to what goes on in practice. We had so many years of paranoid Gus letting the press stay a few minutes at the start. With Bryman Hatpin, nobody cared. Either way, I'm pumped.

The following day, Aug 3, we get live televised American football. Ok, so it's the Hall of Fame game (Jets v Browns), but I will watch every second of that farce.

Then every week after gives you some delicious preseason NFL action leading up to...

Excellent picks, both.

I'm going to swim upstream a bit:

Offense: Fairweather (TE). I think Hugh/Montgomery find lots of ways to utilize his mismatches.

Defense: J. Jones (DL). He's getting some help on the edge. He's got fellow hole-pluggers. I think he beats plenty of one-on-one matchups to terrorize QBs.

Offense: Brian Battie. I think this guy gives us a dimension on offense we haven't had in quite some time. Shitcherpants quick/fast.

Defense: Zion Puckett. Going with more of a sleeper here. This guy is a tweener. Listed as a safety, but the size of a linebacker at 6' 226. Seasoned vet who's ready for a break out year.
