The Reds may be the hottest team in baseball right now.  Dan Patrick had Joey Votto on today.  That's about the 3rd time I've heard him on with Patrick.  He's one of the funniest and best interviews you will ever hear.  He's definitely got a future in broadcasting if he wants it.

At the halfway point in the season.  Obviously, can't ask for more from the ATL.  They'll cool off soon enough, but right now, it's pretty fun to watch. I was curious, and bi, so I looked up a few numbers on payrolls and records. 

1. New York Mets: $336 million (36-48)

2. New York Yankees:  $268 million (46-38) 3rd place in the AL East

3. San Diego Padres:  $251 million (38-46) Mets and Padres battling it out for biggest busts in history

4. Philadelphia Phillies:  $242 million (44-39)

8. Atlanta Braves:  $203 million (56-27)

12. Chicago Cubs: $184 million (38-45)

15. St. Louis Cardinals:  $175 million (35-48)

28. Tampa Bay Rays:  $73 million (57-30) Some can coach it up

30. Oakland A's:  $57 million (23-63) Some can't.  Las Vegas will be a welcome change.
