The truth can be said for many teams. However, a team’s success is usually based on their average high talent, not their best day game. And our average high talent is not very good this season.
We did get treated to that excited feeling one gets when they get their hopes up.
But alas, we are what we are.
With that being said, this team was not as talented, but they fought like hell.
I enjoyed watching them fight.
I look forward to BP filling the holes that this team exposed.
We have too many spoiled AU fans who tie their manhood to our teams. I get it. Most live near bammers or ugas and have to hear it daily.
But as we look at where we are, AU is always in the national discussion.
I am proud to be an Auburn grad. I know many fans of those other schools who cannot say that.
BP will fix it.

And I cant say this enough.....Bruce expected Westry and Traroe to contribute a lot more than they did. For every Kessler and Broome and Jabari you get (Game 1 impact).....you are also gonna get guys that bust the first year. I remember Wiley was like that too. Took a few years for the light to come on. In Westrys defense, he got hurt and had knee surgery. They put a lot on the 5'10 guards and Donaldson. So for what Lourde Bruce was left with?? Shyeaahhh....it may have been one of his better coaching jobs. We also played 13 tourney teams this year....a school record by a long shot.

No, you shouldn't have to, but that's the way this game went.  They put us at the line all night, and we shit all over ourselves.  Make a reasonable percentage of your free throws and you change the whole complexion of the game.  You change how both teams approach each possession. We missed 17 free throws.

If it weren’t for the criminal enterprise to the west being gifted a cakewalk to a golden ticket, I’d be 100% content with the season. As unfair as it is, their undeserved success poisons the water. 

Their coach is an asshole of the highest order.  Crass and ignorant.  The school itself is deliberately covering up an athlete’s willing and/or complicit actions in the course of a murder — in order to win. 

Watching them get the Community College of the Ozarkz, Maryland, and San Jose Technical School for the Blind in the first three rounds while we had to run through every blueblood in nation in our tourney run disgusts me. 

It’s hard to reflect on our own achievements - which are significant - in the reflection of that farce. 

But I am happy.  Any team would have been ecstatic over the transfers we picked up.  For reasons that mystify most they just didn’t work out.   We will reload.  This is as close to rebuilding as we will get as long as Bruce is there.

Doesn’t that mean their players were probably better then? Not sure we need to be relying on broome to nail free throws to win a game. Houston had better dudes. We need better dudes.

Two great games last night.  K-State and MSU was a classic, and the pace Gonzaga put on UCLA eventually wore them down. 

Same with FAU.  They wore out the Fighting Cheetos in the second half. UT looked like they running in quicksand, and had nobody who could score.
