Wasn't much to get excited about for most of the season. But, the War Eagles finished off the regular season on an 8 game winning streak. 33-19-1 (17-13) They start the SEC tourney today against Mizzou, the team they just swept.

Glad I am not the only one who thinks this. Seems like every damn year this is an issue with either: rain, late start times, or both.

The Fighting War Tigers drop one to Vandy 6-4. I was only able to catch the first 3 innings. It was past my bed time.

I turned on the tube and came in on Bama and Florida tied at 3 in extras. Bama loaded the bases, and the next guy slapped a base clearing double. I turned the channel.

Totally missed that Gusty Gaytah went wall ball in the bottom of the frame, to score 4 and walk it off.

They brought in a Freshman to close it out in the bottom of the 10th. The pitcher that held UF in check, recently relieved, was seen on TV clearly screaming to the Freshman, “Are you fucking kidding me? 4 runs?!”

Hosting a Regional for the second year in a row. Awbren opens against Penn, the Quakers, not Penn State. Penn is 32-14.

The other two teams are Southern Miss, (41-17) and Samford, (36-23)

Troy also earned a spot in the Crapstoned Region, and will start off facing Boston College.

We picked a bad time to start sniffling glue.

Lots of extremely tentative at-bats over the last two weeks. Little to no swagger. Crushing strikeouts in critical situations. Looking at pitch after pitch. Virtually no solid contact.

Three home runs in a loss to Vandy in the tournament and then the bats just died.

Oh well. Glad we could get Penn their first ncaa win in 34 years. Fuck.
