This past Saturday, Snagette and me hit the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery for "It's a Wonderful Life". It was performed as a 1940's radio broadcast, so you got the classic Christmas story presented as if they were in studio doing the radio show live. Brilliant concept, and a great show.
The stage had stand up mics all over it with all kinds of props to make sound effects. Five actors did the show non-stop for over an hour and a half.
I've been to quite a few shows over the years at ASF, and every time we walk out of there, we keep asking ourselves why we don't go more often. The actors and shows are off the charts in the neato-keen department. If you've never been, give it a try.
