Scooby Dyke
« on: October 05, 2022, 02:51:16 PM »
As a kid, Saturday mornings, and week days at 3:30, were reserved for cartoons.  Take your pick on 3 different stations on Saturday. (Yes, that's all we had).  Week day afternoons were all about Looney Tunes.  Bugs Bunny, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam etc.

Of course, Scooby Doo was a staple of any cartoon watch list.  A group of teenagers and a goofy dog, traveling around in the Mystery Machine, smoking weed, chowing on Scooby Snacks and solving crimes. So, I'm reading that there's a new Trick or Treat Scooby episode coming out and guess what?  Speaking of coming out, Velma will be shown as carpet muncher in this one.  A Fish Kisser.  Scissor Sister.

Why?

Although everyone assumed that Freddy was slipping the salami to Daphne, one of the more fuckable cartoon characters, Scooby Doo was never about relationships. What is the need to turn one of the characters gay?  It's a cartoon about kids solving mysteries.

I have no problem with teh gays.  I'm a live and let live kinda' guy, and couldn't care less what WT, or anybody else does in their personal lives.  Just don't shove it down my throat.  Especially not a big cock.  Because I'm not gay.  I mean, there was that one time we touched tips, but it was only for a few minutes.

I just don't get why you have take something like a classic cartoon, and make it into something it's not just to make a point. And how ironic is it, if not hypocritical, to choose the character that most looks like a Donut Bumper?

There's something else going on more important than Velma Dinkley stirring the bean curd? Get your priorities straight, man.  And speaking of straight man....that's me.  Yep, straight as they come.

I used to be gay, but ever since Exeter International, I'm as straight as straight can be.  And look at my life now.  I've got a house, a girlfriend inside, and friends coming over for a barbecue. A barbecue!  Gay people hate things like that.

Agreed. Apparently someone thought it was necessary to make Scooby “WOKE”.

Y'all ever wonder how Fred and Wilma Flintstone got busy?  He was a big strappin' fellow, while Wilma's waist was about 3 inches around.  Now, that Betty Rubble....I'd Bam Bam that shit.

I don’t care what they hinted at.  Shaggy smoked dope? Velma swung that way (if you watched the cartoons you know that was not the case, she said we always grooving on some dude)? Fred was hanging his ascot on D? It was never explicit and 99% of the kids watching didn’t consider or give a single shit about.

This? It is explicit.  It’s grooming.  It’s an effort to normalize something that the vast majority don’t agree with on principle.  And yes before certain of you say different, the vast majority - in that place where they’re afraid to verbalize it for fear of the minority, screaming mob- don’t accept it as normal.

Inserting shit like that is intended to influence children to reject the moral direction of their parents and grandparents.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

He says that about there being more things to worry about - and yes there are - yet the producers have made such an over the top effort to make it deliberate, push it to the public and let it be known.....

Wes - here's a little advice. Automatically striking down and minimizing someone else's concern is probably not the most pragmatic approach to debate/issue resolution/acceptance/understanding. Everyone has a different angle, view point and or context. It may not be the same as yours.

More things to worry about:

1. Revisionist history - knocking down statues of Washington, Jefferson, etc. and replacing them with statues of a drug addicted violent felon. Bullshit like CRT.  Rewriting narratives in order to craft a completely different (and false) version of events.
2. Epstein's list - Why has it never been released or pursued?  You convict two of trafficking children but don't follow up on the people these children were trafficked TO? Child molesters at the highest levels getting protection from political actors (whose names are likely on the list). THIS is precisely why Trump is so feared by Hollywood and Washington.  He wouldn't protect their secrets.
3. Creeping socialism - Reason #2 Trump is reviled by the anti-American posers like Pelosi, Schumer, Idiot Cortez, etc. New World Order is their mission - a NWO that has a ruling class and a peasant class (and we are all the peasants).  Along the way, we'll lose everything that makes the American dream possible. Freedom of thought and expression, the ability to rise above circumstances with hard work and a little luck, and the ability to defend ourselves.
4. Climate change bullshit - see creeping socialism.  Never happened, isn't happening, is just part of the strategy of fear used to get us to conform.
5. Social credit scores - Fuck you.  I don't think the way you do so I can't buy groceries? Eat shit and die.
6. Inflation
7. Normalizing gender changes and other horseshit -  A ten year old can't decide to drink, smoke, go to an R-Rated movie, drive a car, join the army, vote, own a gun, rent a motel room, or get a job.  But it can decide to cut its dick off and become a girl.  Fuck that. This is the slippery slope nonsense like this fucked up Scooby Doo episode leads to. (Another thing Kaos warned of and was right about during the 'just let them marry' discussions years ago on this very board.)
8. The Islamic invasion - Kaos warned about this too.  And it's coming to pass.  Fighting didn't work.  Domination by immigration is the long game.  Look at Europe.

The list is long.  There isn't much time to reverse course.  We're on the highway to hell.

I'll always minimize someone's "concern" if it's the silliest, most trivial, non issue in the world.

Good sir, the fact that Velma Dinkley goes bumper to bumper is most definitely no trivial matter. Especially if her and Daphne are secretly scissoring in the Mystery Machine.

All I'm saying is that she was obviously set in opposition to Daphne's overt feminine sexuality in the original run.  Between those days and the current "revelation" there are approximately 1 Billion pop-culture references to Velma being a lesbian.  This isn't news.   Tempest in a goddamned teapot for the reactionary crowd.

I always thought she was more the naughty Librarian type.  Nerdy and impish on the exterior, but take those glasses, and that thick sweater off and she'd gobble you like a Scooby Snack.

You think THIS is bad?  HBO(soon to be canceled)Max is about to put out an animated series called Velma where

Velma is Indian-Hindi
Daphne is Chinese
Shaggy is black
Scooby .... doesn't exist.

It's also allegedly vulgar and violent and "not for kids"

All I want to know is why?

Why did Warner allow this, first of all and second, why do it at all?
