Auburn signee Aden Holloway has moved up seven spots in the new national rankings for basketball prospects in the 2023 class released on Thursday by 247Sports. Holloway, whose hometown is Charlotte, N.C., is now listed as the No. 24 overall prospect in the country.
Holloway, who plays for Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif., was previously ranked as the No. 7 point guard prospect. He has moved up to No. 4 nationally and is rated as the No. 6 overall prospect in California, up one spot from his previous listing.
The future Tiger is rated by four stars by 247Sports and five stars in the composite ranking that lists him as the No. 3 point guard in the 2023 class.
Travis Branham, a recruiting analyst for 247Sports, had these comments on Holloway’s play last month at the John Wall Invitational held at Raleigh, N.C.
“Auburn is getting a fun and exciting point guard next season in Aden Holloway,” Branham wrote. “The 6-foot-1 four-star prospect is as crafty and skilled as they come with the ball in their hands, much like former Auburn Tiger Sharife Cooper.
