Whether it was the achilles, or or in his head, or both, Flanigan had no business on the court by season's end. He was a walking, talking turnover. I would much rather have seen Jaylin Williams in that starting role. He was the one trending up as the season went along.

AF is a natural 3/SF. ALMOST a wing as far as his agility and speed, and that's important because of his D.

Jaylin is a natural 4/PF.

Flanny plays much better D off the dribble. Jaylin is better closer to the lane/basket at his true position being a bit more stationary. I don't like it either but if you check the roster we just didnt have another good option at the 3 really. Jaylin and Jabari starting would be two 4's as the norm and that would be disastrous.

A true 4 playing the 3 in Bruce's system would get his doors knocked in by quick guards and it would be ugly....kind of like our 2nd round game.

Horse hockey. You're not playing a 4 or a 3 on defense. That pertains to offense. You're playing a zone or man to man on D. So the question then, is why didn't we get our doors knocked in when Jaylin, Cardwell and Cambridge were on the floor together? Which was a lot.

None of those guys play the same position. Cambridge plays wing like AF. And is a shit ton quicker than Jaylin if having to D up Guards. Try and keep up. And quit being such a nagger.
