I aint saying Butch is in the Bruce-sphere yet.....but the dude has done a miraculous job making us relevant again on a consistent basis. Once he got all 4 classes of his guys in there, hes now been to 2 CWS in 3 seasons. I didnt realize the Beavers had become that big of a program the last 15-20 years. They got some ballers. On paper, we had zero business winning that series out there - but....AUBURN BITCH! Suck it.

"Auburn will leave Oregon today at 4 p.m. CT and arrive back in Auburn at approximately 10 p.m. tonight. They're loading up the wagons right now with hard tack, bacon and flour. The rest of the plans for this week including a Reverse Tiger Walk when they leave for Omaha will be finalized later but they've got practice at CWS stadium Thursday afternoon so they'll leave on Wednesday."

Elimination game vs. Stanford set for Monday at 1ct/2et. Time to chop down West Coast Harvard and do this thing.

This has been a solid club all year long.  Good pitching and enough hitting.  They had a winning record (16-13) in the best conference in the land. Got incredibly hot in a 4 game stretch, including the opener against the Beavers, scoring 58 runs.  But, the last 3 games, they have faced some incredible pitching.  Have no idea what Stanford will send to the bump, but we have to get somewhat of a break.  Please!

We were picked next to last in the SEC in all the "expert" write-ups and last in the west. Were in fuggin OMAHA. 1-2 years ahead of schedule. I don't wanna lose, but I aint even mad at these boys. They've stood toe to toe with ball teams that are MUCH deeper on paper. Like you said, Oregon State (prob best starting staff in baseball) , and then DeLucia Saturday (BTW Ole Miss was Number 5 preseason and Number 1 in March),  AND NOW the number 2 team in the land Stanford. No excuses but that's a Tough tough stretch there. Were severely outmanned.
