Conciliatory Bammers

Has anyone else noticed that the Bammers are a lot more accepting of the last six Iron Bowls now that they've tasted some success?  From message boards to friends to strangers at grocery stores, I've heard a lot of "Well, we experienced a lot of heartache the last six Iron Bowls.  We know how y'all feel.  At least y'all aren't 3-8 like we were in 03.  We were so pitiful."

Excuse me for saying FUCK THAT.  Those assholes didn't concede anything when we were whipping their asses up and down the field for 7 out of the last 8 years.  I heard a lot of probation excuses and shit about how it didn't matter because NEXT year, Tubs would bolt on AU and Bama would be back!  The animosity was strong when they were irrelevant.  I guess if you say something enough times, it'll eventually be true once. 

It also seems like the Fall Saturday Cousin Grinder Orgy is in need of new members.

No, I haven't had any bammers become conciliatory.  All I get is a barrage of texts and calls each Saturday telling me how bad we suck.  The sad thing is, I have to agree with them.  It takes the wind out of their sails when I simply reply "I know."

Fuck all of them.

All I hear is the same stupid comment over and over and over.

"If Alabama goes undefeated, we play for the BCS title. We're not like Auburn. Nobody has any respect for them."

What pisses me off to no end is that the 2004 AU team was probably the best of all the SEC teams since the BCS was started. That team would have beaten 2003 and 2007 LSU with ease. Would have drubbed 2006 Florida.  The only team that I think would have been close was 1998 Tennessee.

What cracks my shit up is from comments I've heard and read, the majority of bammers truly think they are invincible. They are fully convinced they will blow Florida out of the water by 30+ points.

It will make it that much funnier when the exact opposite happens, which any rational person is expecting to happen.

If some way, some how, we can improve even a little from last week, and they are looking ahead to Florida, and we can pull it off, it WILL be worth this mess of a season just to completely punk those fucking mouth breathers.
