What is the aftermath of Alabama's (expected) beatdown of Georgia in the SEC-Championship Game? Is there an advantage to be had for Auburn?
1. Can Harsin use the "we're just this close, you could be that one player who makes the difference" line after the AU defense limited Alabama to virtually nothing while that same Tahd rolled up a thousand yards on the "best defense in college football history"?
2. Can Harsin use the "if Georgia can't get there this year, you have to know they are never ever going to get there" line to sway recruits? Because that's the reality. Everything was in their favor but they just couldn't do it. Georgia gonna Georgia.
The few parts of that game I watched made me physically ill. Hate both of them and their fans too. It was a no-win situation. Either outcome blows donkey dicks. In retrospect I think it would have been better for UGA to win because it would have kept the Turds home and they would have Georgia'd somewhere else along the line anyway.
Auburn was one play (a play that should have been flagged for delay of game) from knocking off the Turds and possibly keeping BOTH FUA and FUGA out of the playoffs. Can't take a two-loss SEC champion and it would be hard to take a team that lost to a two-loss team.
On a side note? The end of the Baylor/OSU game was fantastic. Not sure how that impacted the overall post-season picture (because I don't care) but it was a good ending to a decent game.
EDITED TO ADD: A now projected berth in the Turdingham Bowl is almost guaranteed to destroy any momentum that might have otherwise been generated. I'd rather they rejected it.
